Updates: Helping Veterans take the next step to a positive future . . .

Veteran Recovery Coalition has earned Candid’s 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition available through Candid’s nonprofit transparency program.

The Platinum Seal demonstrates Veteran Recovery Coalition’s commitment to accountability, openness, responsible stewardship, and measurable impact. It also gives veterans, donors, grantmakers, community partners, and government agencies greater access to information about the organization’s mission, leadership, programs, goals, strategies, and results.

“Veterans place their trust in us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we have a responsibility to honor that trust through transparency, accountability, and measurable action,” said CPT Robert M. Cornicelli, Founder and President of Veteran Recovery Coalition. “Earning Candid’s 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency demonstrates that we are willing to show our supporters, partners, and the veterans we serve exactly who we are, what we do, and how we measure our progress. This recognition strengthens our commitment to ensuring that every resource entrusted to Veteran Recovery Coalition is used to help veterans recover, stabilize, upskill, and successfully reintegrate into their communities.”

Candid awards its annual Seals of Transparency at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels based on the amount of information a nonprofit publicly shares through its Candid profile. Organizations earning the Platinum Seal provide detailed information regarding their mission, programs, leadership, finances or IRS filings, strategic goals, and measurable outcomes.

By earning the 2026 Platinum Seal, Veteran Recovery Coalition has made important organizational information available to the public, allowing current and prospective supporters to better understand its work and make informed decisions about donating, partnering, volunteering, or referring a veteran for assistance.

The recognition supports Veteran Recovery Coalition’s broader mission of helping veterans overcome crises and build sustainable paths toward independence through its Veteran Rapid Response Program.

The program begins with the organization’s 5W Work Plan, which examines five essential questions: Who is involved? What challenges exist? When did they begin? Where is support needed? And why do the barriers remain?

The answers are used to develop a personalized recovery plan with measurable goals, coordinated services, clearly defined responsibilities, and long-term accountability. Depending on the veteran’s individual needs, the plan may address housing, employment, education, healthcare, transportation, benefits, legal concerns, financial stability, recovery support, or family reintegration.

Veteran Recovery Coalition’s approach is organized around four stages:

Unlike programs that end after providing a referral, Veteran Recovery Coalition remains engaged throughout the veteran’s recovery process. Follow-up may begin with frequent contact and later transition to monthly, quarterly, and annual check-ins based on the veteran’s progress and continuing needs.

For Veteran Recovery Coalition, transparency is more than a reporting requirement. It is an essential part of building trust with the veterans, families, donors, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, employers, healthcare providers, and community partners involved in each recovery plan.

The 2026 Platinum Seal marks an important milestone in the organization’s continued growth and confirms its commitment to publicly communicating both its work and its impact.
