Help veterans and military families facing eviction or housing risks stay safely housed. Choose an amount to give today.
Operation Home Defense works with veterans and military families facing eviction, foreclosure, or utility disconnection. The program seeks to intervene early through housing advocacy, landlord communication, mediation, and emergency assistance when available.
Case managers help participants understand the immediate problem and connect with appropriate legal, benefits, and community resources. Veterans can receive financial coaching to strengthen budgeting, credit, and household planning.
The program also connects participants with training and employment opportunities that may improve household income. Counseling and family support can help reduce the stress that comes with housing uncertainty. The goal is to keep families safely housed while helping them build the means to remain there.
