Operation Family Shield helps veterans and military families meet urgent household needs that threaten their ability to care for themselves and their children. Food is a central priority, with support focused on helping families access groceries, meal programs, and other available food resources.
The program can also help address school supply needs so children are better prepared for the classroom. When funding and eligibility allow, assistance may help with overdue utility bills, essential household expenses, and car repairs that affect safety or access to work, school, and services.
Case managers work with families to identify the most urgent needs and connect them with community resources. Financial coaching and benefits navigation can help reduce recurring pressure on the household budget. The goal is to protect family well being and help veterans maintain a safe, stable home.
